Taking it to the Streets

WOW! What a great weekend we have coming up at The Streets.

Rev. Charles Farmer which we nicknamed R W Shambauch will be speaking Thursday Nov. 21st at 7pm. Young singing sensation Katie Bryhanna and others will be singing.

Speaking Friday 22nd at 7pm will be shouting Baptist Brother Don Hackett. Drema Umberger and others will be singing.

Saturday 23rd is a huge day at The Streets.  At 3pm we will have our 4th Annual **Feed The Hungry** Thanksgiving Meal.  Also at the same time we will be doing a **Coat Drive**.  We thank God for giving us the opportunity to feed and clothe the less fortunate from Pulaski and surrounding communities. The response from people willing to help and donate with this event has been phenomenal! We are expecting to feed 450 people and have many coats, gloves,and toboggans to distribute free.

Then at 7pm on Sat. 23rd  on fire Pastor Doug Duncan will be speaking.  Mike Gray Ministries will be singing.

You will surely want to come out and be a part of this Thanksgiving Meal , Coat Drive and these Dynamic Evangelistic services.  As always at The Streets you can come as you are and wear what you have.  Come expecting a blessing.

Well it’s Ladies Week at the Streets and we sure are excited about it! The ladies always do an awesome job and God has sent us three great speakers.

On Thursday Nov. 14th at 7pm Sister Debbie Carr will be speaking. Friday 15th at 7pm it’s Sister Barbara Kidd speaking and on Saturday 16th at 7pm Sister Ginger Riggins will be speaking.  We will have special music each night.

God sent us the same three dynamic speakers that spoke for the last Ladies Week so if you missed hearing them you have another opportunity.  Make plans now to come and worship with us all three nights in these Dynamic Evangelistic Services. Come as you are and wear what you have. Come expecting a blessing.

It was a brisk but beautiful morning.  The youth came out to walk along with the adults. The fireman and the one healed from a severe broken leg also came out to walk. The young man carried the cross and the Youth Pastor carried the flag. The drivers drove the vans and the police controlled the traffic. The Gideon passed out the Bibles and the runners came to run.  All in one accord with the same mission…”To Claim The Youth For Jesus Christ.”

It was a day that we shall never forget as passersby blew the horns and people on the roadside shouted encouragement.  I was walking back and forth through the line and had conversation with a group of teenagers.  One of the girls began to tell me that her friend was having a hard time with her parents getting a divorce. She went on to say that she didn’t think that her friend believes in God and it blessed me SO much when she said “I’m going to give her my Bible.”  OH MY the Youth are precious and they’re looking for something real that they can believe in….they’re looking for Christ and they just need our love and our help to show them the way. We know that God TORE down many walls that satan has built around our Youth and we give Him ALL the praise and the glory!

The First Annual Walk was a total success for Jesus Christ!  We want to thank everyone that took part in any way whatsoever rather by donations, prayer, passing out Bibles, the media, drivers, police, the walkers and the runners. Most of all we want to thank God for sending His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and for anointing The Walk from beginning to end.  God bless each and everyone of you and we love you all!

OH MY what a weekend coming up!  On Thursday November 7th at 7pm Pastor Sherman Buckner will be speaking.  Eighteen year old singing sensation Katie Bryhanna will be singing.

Friday 8th is Youth Night with Brother David Simpkins and Street Minister Charlie Barbettini speaking at 7pm.  Marsha Hodge and Mitch Akers will be singing.  We will have Free Pizza and Drinks after the service.

Saturday morning Nov. 9th starts off with The Walk  “To Claim The Youth For Jesus Christ.”  We will meet at The Streets (located at 223 N. Washington Ave Pulaski Va) at 7am for signups and to distribute shirts we will depart at 8am.  The first 100 Youth ages 12-21 will be given a free shirt.  Additional shirts will be available for only $6.00 each.  We will be walking from The Streets down Rt.11 North to Cougar Express. This Walk is to tear down the walls that satan has built around our Youth.  God wants to TEAR down the walls of sex,drugs,alcohol, boredom and many more that satan has our Youth bound down by!

Then on Saturday night at 7pm Sister Alice Jones will be doing the Praise and Worship and speaking.

This is truly an on fire weekend from beginning to end that you will not want to miss. All services will be streamed live at www.streets4god.com.  Make plans now to come and worship with us in these Dynamic Evangelistic Services and to take part in this First Annual Walk  “To Claim The Youth For Jesus Christ.”  We have 300 shirts so please wear red if you can just in case we run out of shirts. We will be able to order more shirts if needed.

Should you wish to walk and not be able to make the whole distance we will have vans running to bring you back  to your vehicle or take you to Cougar Express.  After The Walk we will furnish transportation back to your vehicle if you need it.

OH MY what a blessed night it was at The Streets last night!

Marsha Marie Hodge and Dreama Umberger testified and sung about hope. Evangelist Dedrick Phillips preached about hope and God brought Jeff Mcpeaks dad right into the service which was a real joy for Jeff and all of us.

Young Dedrick reminds me of a young Billy Graham and he preached hard and straight. You could tell that Dedrick, Marsha and Dreama had all walked the walk of what they preached and sung about.

Its been another glorious week at The Streets. Now its time to look ahead to Brother Sherman Buckner on Thursday, Brothers David Simpkins and Charlie Barbettini for Youth Night on Friday, The Walk on Saturday morning and Sister Alice Osborne Jones on Saturday night.

God is moving in a miraculous way at The Streets and we will always give all the praise and glory to Him. Our prayer is that if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Saviour that you will give your heart to Christ and make Him Lord of your life. God bless you and we love you all.

Rev. Don Taylor will start off speaking Thursday Oct. 31st at 7pm.  Brother Don is a great speaker and we always enjoy him coming to The Streets.

Friday Nov. 1st at 7pm Sister Judy Gregory will be speaking.  Its been a while since Sister Judy has been with us and we are very excited about her coming to speak. Her son Jerry Gregory will be singing.

Teen Challenge graduate Evangelist Dedrick Phillips will close out the weekend speaking Saturday 2nd at 7pm.  Oh my this is a young on fire evangelist that preaches the Word of God in a powerful way.

Pastor Sherman Buckner will be speaking both Thursday Oct. 24th and Friday 25th at 7pm each night.  Brother Sherman is an on fire preacher and we are very excited about him being with us for two nights.  Eighteen year old singing sensation Katie Bryhanna will be singing on Thursday and Mike Gray Ministries will be singing on Friday.

On Saturday 26th at 7pm we will have an Open Mic Singing with a great lineup of singers; Tommy Hodge, Marsha Marie Hodge, Mike Gray Ministries, Drema Umberger, Leslie Sexton, Steve Clark and Charlie Barbettini.
